HANDMADE: ATLANTA ARTIST
"Atlanta' Reaching Higher Further as the artist call it.
A rising Local talent, Robert West is a Railroad Illustrator, who specializes in doing paintings of trains for railroad corporations and manufacturers on the supply side of the railroad industry.
As the world's only professionally-recognized black railroad artist, Robert is now doing painting which reflects his heritage and culture. In addition he is writing the manuscript to his book, "Chains, To Trains, To Change, The Journey".
Atlanta has long been known as "The City Too Busy To Hate". With the aroma of Dogwood Flowers permeating the air every spring, and it's gently rolling tree-lined hills rising up from the Chattachoochee River Valley, Atlanta is a charming city which has risen from the ashes of the War Between The States, to become one of the fastest-growing metropolitan cities in the world.
This painting reflects the remarkable dynamics of this "Gem of the South".
Led by the leadership of Mayor Ivan Allen along with the Dream and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the 1960's, Atlanta paved the way for Civil justice and change.
